McCarthy's Coaches
McCarthy's was established as a taxi service in 1960 by John Anthony and Hanna McCarthy, providing transport services for local customers in the Cahersiveen area and surrounding Iveragh Peninsula, for weekly shoppers, hospital appoinments, airport and train station transfers. As the business continued to expand, they added a second taxi and later on our first mini bus for school bus services and private hire.
In 1984 Martin McCarthy and family took over the business, operating as McCarthy's Mini Bus and Taxi Services, as he purchased the first Mercedes 14-seater and later added a Mercedes 24-seater mini coach.
With increasing visitors to the South Kerry area and the continued support of local customers, our business expanded even further and by the mid nineties, we were operating a fleet of Mercedes mini coaches and taxis.
Today we operate a wide range of coaches and mini coaches to cater for all group sizes from 14 to 56 seaters available for private hire.
